Twenty years on….

….no, not the fall of the Berlin Wall (though Bleungberg can vaguely remember that), but the death of Emperor Hirohito.
Bleungberg can still remember the gloomy morning when the news filtered through the television screen, and the giant screens relaying the wartime Emperor’s passing in the centre of Tokyo.
The next death that Bleungberg can remember as a child: Nicolai Ceausescu.
